Nanovor Wiki

Thundercrab 1

OVERVIEW[]

  • Last night I had the BEST spaghetti ever, but of course, something went horribly wrong. My dad jumped up from his seat, all excited about some sports team, and KNOCKED MY SPAGHETTI OVER. It fell over with a little splat, and the first thing I thought (well, the second, after I thought, “NOOOOOOO!”) was, “Hey! That looks like Thundercrab 1.0!” That’s right: Thundercrab 1.0 looks just like some awesome plate of spaghetti that flipped over and now scuttles around being totally battle-crazy. Of course, I would NEVER say this around Thundercrab 1.0… it would probably hurt its feelings. That guy’s got a tough shell, but inside, it’s just a sensitive pile of adorable noodles.

HOW TO OBTAIN[]

This Nanovor was first made available 04/01/10 (so Thundercrab was a joke all along huh). To obtain this Nanovor, you must evolve Thunderpoid 1.0 using the EMs 2M4, 2M2 and 2M1 in that order.

TACTICS[]

  • Aren’t 1 EN attacks the best? Use Thundercrab 1.0 early game to get some damage in while saving up Energy. Later, it’s a great idea to pair up Thundercrab 1.0 with a Red Spike so that it can use its awesome Clamp attack. With a Red Spike, it’ll not only do some respectable damage, but it’ll swap-block the opponent for FOUR ROUNDS. If that’s not enough to squish a Nanovor, I don’t know what is. Hardshell is great to use in the end game if Thundercrab 1.0 is one of the last Nanovor up there, but in most cases, it would be prudent to spend your 3 EN on a heavy damage attack, or Clamp.

COUNTER TACTICS[]

  • Don’t let it Escape! Stop Thundercrab 1.0 from swapping out. Start off with your Turbo Cannon 1.0 and play down a Yellow Spike. Then, swap in your Psi Scarab 1.0 and attack with Scarab Slash to block for three rounds and deal some moderate damage. Finish Thundercrab off with a quick Brain Freeze from your Psi Blaster 2.0 and a Shard Slice from your Shard Slider 1.0.
  • Beat it to the Punch! A great way to ensure victory is to go first in the turn order. Play down a Yellow Spike with Turbo Cannon 1.0. Then swap in your Turbo Master 1.0 and attack with Fightspeed to take away some health and tons of Speed. Then, swap your Turbo Cannon 1.0 back in and attack with Avalanche before swapping in your Blaze Hydra 2.0 and attacking with Tantrum to finish Thundercrab 1.0 off.
  • Deal some Combo Damage! Start off with your Thunderpoid 1.0 and play down a Red Spike. Then, swap in your Electropod 2.0 and attack with Powerball for some insane damage! Finish off with your Spike Spine 1.0’s Charge.

ORIGINS[]

  • It’s difficult to say what role Thundercrab 1.0 would have served in battle. It certainly has battle potential, as all Nanovor do innately, but its sensitive core suggests a tiny bit of cowardliness, or rather, a lack of confidence. Were it confident, it would have made an excellent front-line warrior, equipped with a shield and a bloodthirsty attitude, but since it lacks self-esteem, I’d say that this particular Nanovor went to combat, but very reluctantly.
