War Charger 2

OVERVIEW[]

  • You know when you’re walking around in a city and there’s just something going on EVERYWHERE? It’s difficult for your eyes to settle on one thing just because there’s just so much activity everywhere you look. There’s color on the buildings, in the gum on the sidewalk, on the clothing of passersby, and in ads for the latest games coming out plastered on the window of the electronics store. But sometimes, your eyes manage to settle on something particularly interesting. When this happened to me a while back, I noticed this magician doing card tricks to a few little kids. I looked closer and knew immediately that he was just using cheap sleight of hand to trick those bright-eyed and gullible little guys. I chuckled because it reminded me so much of War Charger 2.0. That ‘vor is an awesome warrior, sure, and superstitious to the point where it dances before it battles, but I’m pretty sure that in addition to that dance being a ritual, it’s a distraction. I mean wouldn’t it throw you off if a guy you were about to fight suddenly busted out the Macarena?

HOW TO OBTAIN[]

This Nanovor was made available with the release of wave 2 on 02/23/10. To obtain this Nanovor, you must evolve War Charger 1.0 using the EMs 2H3, 2H6, 2H5 and 2H4 in that order.

TACTICS[]

  • Rarely is there such a cheap attack that does so much damage. Pounce is a fabulous attack that can be used early game for some light damage, or for some moderate Armor-piercing damage. Either way, it’ll set your swarm up with a lot of energy while also snatching some health away from the opponent’s swarm. But if you prefer to do more combination damage, attacking with Chop Drop mid-game is an excellent plan. Not only will this attack do some pretty hefty damage, but it’ll take away so much Speed that you’ll likely come out on top for a while! Of course, you could always gain Speed. Whenever you have 4 EN, it’s a great idea to attack with Battle Dance—especially if it’s early or mid-game, when the opponent won’t have too much Energy to spare and taking away that 1 EN will really make a difference.

COUNTER TACTICS[]

  • Make the Ground Rumble! Begin the battle with your Rumble Squid 1.0 and attack with Rumbler. Then, swap in your Rumble Hound 2.0 to attack with Howl. Swap you Rumble Squid back in to attack with Rumbler for some damage that should ensure a grand finale!
  • Ignore its Armor! Start off the battle with you Triton Manta 1.0 and play down a Blue Spike. Then, swap in your Shard Runner 2.0 and attack with Shard Shatter for some insane Armor-piercing damage! War Charger 2.0 should be so weak that a quick Blazeburn from your Blaze Hydra 1.0 should do the trick!
  • Use a Spike Combo! To put War Charger 2.0 in its place, start off with your Hyper Ripper 1.0 and play down a Red Spike to prepare for an awesome combo. Swap in your Hypertusk 2.0, and attack with Hyperbelch for some massive damage! Finish War Charger 2.0 off by swapping in your Blaze Hydra 2.0 and attacking with Fireclap for two rounds.

ORIGINS[]

  • Perhaps I’ve underestimated the affect that superstition can have on confidence. While it is, as of yet, inconclusive whether or not War Charger 2.0’s Battle Dance improves its battle prowess, I can’t deny that War Charger 2.0 believes that it does. And since War Charger 2.0 believes so much that its pre-battle rituals affect its skill, then they start to affect it because of sheer mental power. It’s amazing what the mind can do when provoked enough. Without its superstitious activities, I’m sure sure War Charger 2.0 would lose all confidence. So then, I could never call its practices illogical or useless—they work for War Charger, and that’s all that matters.
